Dr. Maurice Bolo

Dr. Bolo holds a PhD in Innovation, Technology, and Development Policy from The Open University (UK) and has over 15 years of experience in science, technology, and development policy. His expertise includes research management, program development, and leading multi-disciplinary, international teams. Dr. Bolo is skilled in training, capacity building, and facilitating multi-stakeholder processes. He has authored numerous journal papers, books, and reports, with a focus on agriculture and health. His latest book, Learning and Innovation in Agri-Export Industries (June 2012), explores the impact of partnerships and governance on innovation in cut flower farming.

Dr. Lydia Olaka

Dr. Olaka is an Environmental Geoscientist with over 15 years of research experience in science, environment, and society. She is a Senior Lecturer at the Technical University of Kenya and an Associate at the Institute of Climate Change and Adaptation, University of Nairobi. Dr. Olaka earned her PhD in Geosciences from the University of Potsdam in 2011. Her research focuses on geochemistry, groundwater dynamics, and climate change adaptation. She has explored topics including groundwater geochemistry in the Kenya Rift, climate impact on water resources, and carbon capture in Basalts. Her work, supported by major institutions, is featured in peer-reviewed journals and media outlets like National Geographic and BBC.

Mr. Wycliffe Guya

Mr. Guya holds a master’s degree in Power Engineering and Engineering Thermo physics from Xi’an Jiaotong University. With 15 years of experience as a high school Mathematics and Physics teacher, he has been dedicated to career guidance and emphasizing the role of science in tackling societal issues such as energy needs and environmental challenges. Mr. Guya has participated in numerous in-service courses from 2004 to 2009, enhancing his pedagogical skills in teaching. His commitment to science education includes fostering innovation and communication among students, preparing them to address contemporary global challenges through their understanding of mathematics and physics.

Mr. Stephen Ojwando

Mr. Ojwando holds a bachelor's degree in Finance from Kabarak University, Kenya, and is a CPA finalist. With over 7 years of experience in financial management, he specializes in administration, budgeting, donor reporting, and financial advisory with a focus on liabilities. Stephen is proficient in PASTEL EVOLUTION and SAGE PARTNER accounting software, and skilled in the MS Office suite. He is knowledgeable about donor funding procedures for organizations such as UNEP, The Dutch Government, The Rockefeller Foundation, and EU Framework Coordinated Actions. His expertise extends to grant administration, including financial deliverables and payment disbursements.

Mr. Collins Manyasi

Mr. Manyasi holds a bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Nairobi and has over 7 years of experience in research, community development, and marketing. He recently completed a one-year incubation program in May 2012, working as a Program Assistant with Skill nest Research Agency. His role involved enhancing research and education capacity within universities, organizations, and community programs. At the Centre, he contributes to building research and educational capacity, alongside engaging consultants, research fellowships, and internships to address evolving needs. His work supports both individual and community development initiatives through targeted capacity-building efforts
