Description

This report highlights key aspects of the training workshop conducted during the Annual Regional Meeting held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, in June 2019. The workshop, organized by the SGCI, focused on "IP, Tech Transfer, and Commercialization" to support the Councils in their role of promoting public-private partnerships (PPPs) for research and innovation. The primary aim of the training was to enhance the Councils' capacity to facilitate collaborative partnerships and technology transfer between research institutions and the private sector. The workshop content was tailored to address critical issues identified during the Councils' Needs Assessment exercise, ensuring relevance and practical value for their initiatives.
