A series of public-private partnership research projects across Uganda, Malawi, and Mozambique have focused on sustainable development and innovation in agriculture, energy, and tourism. In Uganda, collaborations aimed to enhance the commercialization of bee products, improve cocoa fermentation processes, and create high-fibre food products from maize by-products, benefiting both local farmers and consumers. In Malawi, projects introduced solar-powered technologies to improve dairy farming and piloted biogas solutions for waste management, promoting cleaner energy and sustainable practices. Mozambique saw initiatives to boost tourism in Zambézia through a digital platform and integrate indigenous knowledge into ecotourism development in Cabo Delgado, improving local incomes and preserving cultural heritage. These projects highlight the potential of public-private partnerships to drive economic growth, enhance livelihoods, and promote environmental sustainability.
