The Scinnovent Centre and its partners implemented the Science Granting Councils Initiative II (SGCI-2), focused on "Strategic Communications and Knowledge Uptake." The initiative aims to strengthen Councils' knowledge management systems and capabilities through strategic communication strategies. As part of this effort, a gap analysis study was conducted to inform the development of a draft knowledge management strategy and a model strategic communication strategy. A two-day creative workshop, held from 10th–11th November 2020, aimed to validate and contextualize the gap analysis findings for Councils, incorporate participant insights into the draft strategies, build the capacity of Science Granting Council (SGC) staff in communication and advocacy, and develop implementation plans to guide pilot country selection and mapping.
