Description

This study was designed to understand how the countries involved in the SGCI, namely Botswana, Burkina-Faso, Cote d’Ivoire, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Rwanda, Senegal, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe are engaging into PPPs in RI and share best practices for adoption. In order to enhance the role of public-private partnerships in socio-economic development and in support of regional development agenda such as the STISA 2024, issues of public-private partnerships in research and innovation have been carefully explored to uncover the trends, characteristics and current needs. Based on these and good practices from around the world, policy recommendations to strengthen the African Science Granting Councils emerge.
